I recommend......

When I was a kid I didn't like Cheerios.  They were just too healthy looking and who would want those unsweetened circle thingeys when Tony Tiger is available.
But now, as an older 'kid', I've found Cinnamon Burst Cheerios.  WOW!  I like them even better than the honey nut cheerios.  And these are great added to a cup of yogurt for breakfast or a snack.
Don't confuse these with the Apple Cinnamon Cheerios.  I think these are better!

And then for snacking, I found these new Special K
Cracker Chips.
They like a cross between a rice cake and a cracker.  Really crunchy and you feel like you've had something worth spending the eating time on.  I only saw the sour cream 'n' onion flavored but I understand they've got sea salt, too.

Pancake/Waffle Batter in a can
I found this at Wal-mart and after looking it several times, I thought I'd give it a try.
How can you go wrong with something that comes in what looks like a whip cream can!
It's surprisingly good.  And you sure can't beat the clean-up.
They cooked up thinner than I would normally make my own batter, but Mr. Smith liked them like that.  The edges were crispy and they were very light.
I served them with omelets and they were a great substitute for the toast we normally would have had.

I recommend.....

I know you've seen commercials on TV in months past about a new style of walking shoe (Shape-Ups) that is manufactured by an athletic shoe company (starts with an S).  As a walker, I've been more than mildly curious about them.  They claim to help in toning muscles in your legs and butt.  I checked them out recently while shoe shopping at one of my most favorite places, Academy Sports.  Well, long story short, I couldn't afford to put that much money into a shoe that might or might not work for me.
I have arthritis in the ball of my left foot and in my right ankle and heel.  If I find a shoe that is comfortable for my right foot, it's way too tight for my left one.
Recently I saw an ad on TV about a similar style shoe, manufactured by one of my favorite shoe lines, Champion Footwear.  They sell their shoes at Payless....which I found to be in my favor already.
I went and bought a pair.  For $39.99.......less than half the price of what the other brand sells for.
Okay.  Price is great!  It's a brand-name that has always worked well for me.  It's for sale at a store that calls my name when I drive by.  A size 8 fits both feet.
BINGO!
I.
love.
this.
shoe.
If you do much walking, for whatever reason, you've got to get a pair of these shoes.  If I was still working, I'd have a pair for work.  They're that great.
Both yesterday morning and again this morning I went out and after a 3-mile walk, I could tell that I'd walked long enough to do me some good.  Who knew that there were still muscles hidden down under all that......?
Not only are they great for the leg muscles, but I find that they force you to stand more upright.
I can't find anything wrong with them.
I love them and just might someday soon go back and get another pair to have on reserve in the closet.

Something else great

Stereo Headphone Earmuffs
I have a terrible time with the cold in my ears when I'm out walking or just being out in the yard. I prefer to have my MP3 player going when I'm walking so having something over my years with the earplugs or headphones was a problem.   I found these in a catalog late last fall and ordered a set for myself and Mr. Smith.  They're amazing!!
They're fleece earmuffs with  built-in headphones that are compatible with MP3 players, iPods, cell phones.
They're adjustable and will extend out to 14-1/2 inches fully stretched.  (They even fit Mr. Smith's head.)
It has a 39" cord.
Folds up for storage.
I found them at Lakeside Collections and they're on sale now for $4.95.  ( I just ordered 2 more to have on hand in case we wear out the ones we're using now.)  If you get the catalog, they're on page 49 of their
Spring Delights catalog.

Going Green with a Super Duster

When the Swiffer people came out with their duster thingeys, I jumped on the bandwagon and started using them.  I've found something I like even better.  It's a Micro Fiber duster that you can just throw in the washer when it's soiled.  I found it at the Dollar Tree (yep!  Just a dollar!) and I bought three of them.  No more buying the replacement duster thingeys for my Swiffer.
Sorry, Swiffer guys.  I like this better
