Off our balcony, over-looking Ski Mountain Road, there are few trees. There were many more some 25 years ago, but like most areas, 'they pave Paradise and put up a parking lot' and a wedding chapel and a real estate office. Each year, there's at least one woodpecker that visits.
Our condo is at Laurel Point. It's below the Ober-Gatlinburg recreation area, half-way up Ski
Mountain Road. We can see the trams as they run up and down the mountain to Ober-Gatlinburg, one passing another. At night, when they're lit, they flash their lights at the on-coming tram.
