Happy Birthday, Laura

Funny how you remember things. Back around 1956 or 1957 I was in girl scouts. Brownies, actually, but that's unimportant except to tell you how long I've remembered this. There was a girl in my troop named Laura Durr. I can still see her in my mind as if she were standing right in front of me. She had very naturally curly hair, almost like a 'fro' but way before they were popular. Her mother's name was Clem. I've always assumed that it was short for 'Clementine'. I say all of that to say that tomorrow, June 21, is Laura's birthday. Happy Birthday, Laura, wherever you are.
